From Clinic to Hospital: A Milestone Achieved
Blessed Martin Maternity Home now St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital is a certified primary healthcare facility by the Health Facility Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) and an advanced level (4) facility by the SafeCare Healthcare Standards. The facility is a member of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), an agency of the Ministry of Health, Ghana. The hospital has abed capacity of 155.
In May 2022, the facility was accredited by the Medical and Dental Council for the training of Medical House Officer's. The Hospital has over the years worked collaboratively with the Municipal and Regional Health Directorates as well as the Catholic Health Services Trust - Ghana and CHAG in quest for quality healthcare delivery. The hospital through these collaboration has become the most reliable source of data quality and integrity as far as informed decision making is concern.
St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agomanya can boast amongst her list of achievements as the center for excellence in the management of ART in the region and beyond and a certified adolescent friendly facility. The facility was awarded for been the Outstanding Sub-Regional Facility in Eastern Region towards Eliminination of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV in 2020.
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua is the owner of the facility who exercise his mandate through the Hospital Management Team.
